The nation's first non profit community for the deaf and blind, Alder Springs is owned and operated by the NC School for the Deaf at Morganton Foundation, Inc. a private 501(c)3 organization. Built entirely with private donations and funds (and no government funds), Adler Springs is sustained and maintained by rental income form its residents. All net operating proceeds flow from the Foundation to financially support the learning enrichment of students at NC School for the Deaf.
